AtitaTaware is born in India and currently based near Mumbai, working with installations, in various mediums like ceramics, video, photography, found objects and ephemeral artworks, printmaking. Her works centre primarily on topics of biodiversity degradation, awareness of endemic and endangered species, land conversions, essence of life and self-existence.

 

She has a dynamic art education base. She attended the J. J. School of Arts, Mumbai for her master’s program (2010-2012), Bharti Vidyapeeth College of fine arts, Pune for B.F.A. (2009-2010), L.S. Raheja School of art, Mumbai for G.D.art (2005 - 2009), Indian Art School, Mumbai, Foundation (2004-2005) where she learned the essential art traditions and methods while still maintaining creative exploration.

 

Her work has been featured in several Group Exhibitions, Art fairs and Triennale like Breaking Ground, Indian Ceramics Triennale, Jaipur, 2018. Bestarium, Athens, Greece, 2021. She has received a production grant by Inlaks Shivadasani Foundation For participation in Indian Ceramic Triennale in 2018. And also a fellowship to travel and work in Switzerland for three months by Futur Foundation, Switzerland and setting up a solo exhibition named “Biophilia”,at Kunsthjunghus, Rapperswill, Switzerland 2013.
